Serial Space in Chippendale have called for all hoarders (and collectors) who have a couple of suitcases worth of old treasure they want to pass on to drag it down to the Suitcase Market this Saturday for Sydney to come buy, buy, buy. Vintage records, costume jewels, old furs your nanna used to wear, homemade cookies and jams, books and bric-a-brac will be waiting patiently to be taken to a new home.

We like to think of this as a cheap and chic version of the Finders Keepers market. You still find, and you still keep, but there are no trestle tables, no clothes racks and no overpriced ceramics, this is just an honest-to-goodness jumble sale, with baked goods on the side! It’s a waaaay better idea than laying out all your stuff on your front lawn and hoping someone waltzes by and throws some cash at you.
