Elizabeth Rose
Elizabeth Rose has slowly but surely wrapped her elfin fingers around Sydney’s electronica scene. She’s the complete package – an accomplished pop producer, equipment geek and arresting vocalist, wrapped-up in harajuku-lite ensemble.
These are her favourite Sydney spots for:
Watching life pass by…
Although I hate swimming, I really feel relaxed and at peace when I’m near
water be that at a beach, a lake/river or pond. It seems to have a calming
effect on me and I like to just take it all in and collect my thoughts there.
Hearing things you’ve never heard before…
This is a toughie…actually yes, I know it’s not so much a place but FBi radio
Sydney is a great ‘place’ where I always hear them playing some awesome
underground record from artists across the world! I’ve come across a lot of
great music just from listening to that station.
Eating until you fall into a coma….
Being apart of an Italian family, my Nonna’s house is where I can expect
to overeat and fall into a coma, on a regular basis! My Nonna is such a
wonderful cook that I love to go to her house when we have Christmas and
Easter gatherings and feast upon her delicious food! She cooks up a lot
of great sweets too – my favourite is a Sicilian dish that she makes called
Pinulatte. It’s basically almonds held together by very sweet and crunchy
toffee. She also makes mean ricotta cannoli!
Watching the sunrise…
I’m really not a morning person (haha) so I much prefer to watch the sunset -
sadly I don’t have a special place to do this at! Any recommendations?
Having a secret, romantic dinner and possible pash….
The best romantic dinners are always the ones that are in spontaneous
outdoor locations and not necessarily inside a restaurant! I love how scenic
the headlands up in Avalon and Palm Beach are – they’re nice and secluded
which makes it all the more secret and romantic!
