One of the most important, controversial and evergreen artists of the past 20 years, New Order got us all tickled when announced as headliners for this year's Future Music Festival. We've pretty much popped a hernia over this just announced Hordern Pavillion Sideshow. Messieurs Sumner, Gilbert and Morris (but not Hook - he'll be out here playing his own Best of Joy Division shows in April) will be at the Hordern on the 7th of March playing a set list that hopefully looks like this recent show in London. Just a year ago this band reckoned they'd never tour again, so better get in there this time, champ! Sydney via Blue Mountains collective CLOUD CONTROL have been killing it recently. With rave reviews of their new album, "Bliss Release" coming from all over it's time you took notice of this amazing band.The newly released album has already spawned two singles - "Gold Canary" and "This Is What I Said" - with the former being chosen as single of the week on BBC6's Rebel Playlist. Music Mondays: The Holidays

After dropping off the radar for some time Sydney four - piece THE HOLIDAYS are back with some great new tunes serving as a precursor to their debut album. The new material is bright and richly textured with the band stating that the first single "Moonlight Hours" is a "a party song for the summertime."Indeed, the recently released second single "Golden Sky" conjures up a similar sentiment and is hot like a 45 degree day. Music Monday: Parades

So you've probably heard of Modular signed artist Jonathan Boulet but have you heard of his side project PARADES?This band band has the potential to overshadow Boulet's solo career as a result of its beautifully arranged pop songs which have led to some critics comparing them to the Postal Service, Sigur Ros and Radiohead. At its core PARADES is a four piece however on stage they are joined by a plethora of other players. PARADES have already garnered strong support from those in the know with an early demo gaining them high rotation on FBI and Triple J as well as support slots for Malcolm Middleton, Jebediah and a show at the Peats Ridge Festival.Their eagerly anticipated debut EP is out this Friday on Dot Dash/Remote Control Records. Starting off as a solo project and now a fully fledged six piece band, Guineafowl are bringing a unique sound to the Sydney music community. Their songs are punctuated by subtle electronica over captivating riffs and brooding melodic lines. For a band in their infancy,Guineafowl have already had their video for the song "Botanist" selected as one of Rage's top 50 clips of 2009 and have recently joined General Pants Co's music venture, Major Label. One of the hidden gems of the Sydney music scene are three piece CAMERAS. With two songwriters sharing lead vocal duties, the trio intertwine a dizzying intensity with a haunting atmosphere. They have already received a lot of love from FBi Radio and their single "June" has been an iTunes single of the week. CAMERAS recently played the main stage at the Peats Ridge Festival and performed in Adelaide for the Fringe Festival to rave reviews. After seeing them support Dirty Projectors last week we are still picking our jaws off the floor - they were that good! If you haven't yet heard of Danimals, the brain child of Jonti Danilewitz, you truly are missing out on some unbelievable music. Danimals state that they "focus on rhythms and the deconstruction of traditional song structures to create some bouncy tripped out experimental music." They have already toured with Metronomy, Patrick Wold and Why? and won the TED uncharted comp leading to the guys recording the track "Fox" with Mark Ronson. So , what are you waiting for?
